The 2024 Conference was held in person on November 8-10th, 2024 at Moore College of Art & Design. It featured keynote speaker Dr. Porchia Moore, an exclusive happy hour reception at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, 3 Art exhibitions on site, 20 sessions, 2 community art making experiences with 250 attendees, 65% who identified as Black, Brown, or part of the Global Majority.

The 2022 Adding Voices Conference was on October 1st-2nd, 2022 at Moore College of Art & Design. This event showcased keynote Jen White Johnson, and hosted over 350 attendees from across the nation in person and online.

The 2020 virtual conference took place on June 20th, 2020 and featured Dr. Joni Boyd Acuff as the keynote speaker. Over 400 art educators came together from across the nation to center their work on social justice and antiracism in arts education.

We were ecstatic that the Philadelphia Museum of Art was sponsor in kind for the 2024 Adding Voices.

The exclusive reception will include a Happy Hour and an art activity connecting to one of the artists in the exhibition: The Time Is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure! The event included the opportunity to learn from Philadelphia Museum's Art Educators! Thank you to @adriennejustice AND Cherish Christoper Sherlock Project Assistant and Museum Educator for all your hard work and collaboration! The exhibition featured 28 Black and African diasporic contemporary artists who use figurative painting, drawing and sculpture to celebrate the richness of Black culture.

Community Gathering held at Black Garnet Books, a Black owned book store in MN, during NAEA Conference . This created a space for networking, community, and art makingfor Global Majority Art Educators. This event was co-hosted with NAEA’s COMC (The Committee of Multi-Ethnic Concerns). Hosted our first Global Majority Art Educator Mixer with Stapledon Arts. Educators joined to learn about Stapledon Art products while being in community at a Black owned art gallery in Harlem, NY during the NAEA Conferences.
